Hollow Temples

An essential part of face contouring is correcting the hollow temples. As we age, there is a significant amount of tissue loss in the temples, causing them to become hollow, sunken and in return cause us to look old and narrow around the upper the face. These hollow temples are even more pronounced in lean athletic people.

Fortunately, temple fillers are a quick solution. We usually use long-lasting fillers such as Radiesse, or Sculptra to create more volume for temples and a more youthful face contour. These injections are pretty painless (because of our very strong numbing creams!), and instant in their filling effect. For example, just one string of a temple fillers such as Radiesse can correct a significant amount of hollow temples. Creating volume for temples requires an exact planning of the anatomy of the face to keep the upper and lower face proportions within aesthetic dimensions. Hollow temples, once filled, can help lift the droopiness of the lower eyebrow, eyelid area, and creating a lifting effect of the upper face. Using a temple filler you can reverse years of aging without looking unnatural or anyone knowing you had any treatments done because the results help restores a more youthful anatomy to the face.

To see if correcting hollow temples with a temple filler is right for you, please make an appointment for a consultation. Dr. Kormeili will evaluate the exact dynamics and proportion of your face during the consultation and help you decide what components of face contouring best serve you in creating a more youthful appearance.
