Keratosis Pilaris
Conveniently located to serve the areas of Santa Monica and Los Angeles
Keratosis pilaris (KP) represents those tiny scaly bumps on the back of the arms and on the legs. They resemble “goose bumps” or “chicken skin.” KP is the retention of keratin within hair follicles and therefore feels rough and scaly. Though a very common condition, it is difficult to treat. Multiple creams and chemical peels can be used to exfoliate and dissolve away the retained keratin.
Dr. Kormeili can determine the best course of treatment for your skin condition after careful examination.
