Treatment with the Vbeam may consist of multiple treatments, depending upon the condition and needs of the patient’s body. For facial veins, one treatment may be sufficient for clearance (that said, additional treatments are not uncommon).     Rosacea comes in different flavors! Erythrotelangiectatic rosacea has many red facial veins. Papulopustular rosacea has lots of little red bumps and superficial white pus-filled pumps. We treat all types of rosacea in our office.

  • Can broken capillaries on the face go away?

    Yes. After a few laser treatments with the Vbeam laser most of the broken capillaries on the face are dissolved away by the body. This restores a great complexion for you.

  • How can I get rid of spider veins?

    On the legs we often use a combination of slcerotherpy and Vbeam laser to remove as many spider veins as possible. In a few sessions, most spider veins are removed. This does not mean your body will not make new spider veins! We advise all patients to avoid the sun for at least 2 weeks after spider vein treatment.

  • How long does it take for red acne marks to fade?

    Usually it takes up to one year to reduce the redness and marks from active acne. Vbeam laser treatments can reduce this time and provide significant improvement to the appearance of red acne marks.

  • How long does vbeam take to work?

    Vbeam treatment takes about 20 minutes to complete. Most patients see 15-30% improvement in rosacea in one treatment. Small spots like angioma are often treated in one session permanently.

  • What is the best natural remedy for rosacea?

    Niacinamide or Vitamin B3 has great efficacy. Other natural products include azelaic acid.

  • Does vascular laser hurt?

    The Vbeam laser has a built-in cooling system to prevent burns and discomfort. Additionally, we provide numbing cream to our patients prior to the treatment

  • What can I expect immediately after my treatment?

    Your skin will look pink and swollen like a mild sunburn. While bruising is a possibility, it is rare for rosacea. Some conditions need to have bruising from the laser to have effective treatment. Dr. Kormeili will discuss this with you during your consultation.
