Dysport
Dysport Wrinkle Treatment
Dysport is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles such as crow’s feet, forehead or frown lines. Dysport can also be used to correct different types of fine lines and wrinkles such as lines on the nose (bunny lines), sagging angles of the mouth (Marionette lines) or a droopy brow (brow lift). Dysport can also be used to treat gummy smiles or create a slight lifting of the tip of the nose.
When Dysport is injected into a muscle, it blocks the nerve impulse from reaching that area; as a result, the muscle relaxes. When the muscle relaxes, the skin overlying the muscle smooths and the wrinkles in the skin gradually soften and often disappear. This is because the relaxation of the muscles allows the skin to heal, minimizing the effects of wrinkles.
Patients often ask if they should use Botox versus Dysport and if the Dysport cost is different. Although slightly different molecules Botox versus Dysport vs Xeomin have similar cost and efficacy, meaning they are all great. Dysport side effects are very comparable to those of Botox or Dysport. In other words, if you can eat eggs, you are likely not to be allergic to Botox, Dysport or Xeomin, and they can be used to treat fine lines and wrinkles. Dysport cost similar to any procedure will depend on your desired treatment outcomes and anatomy. How much Dysport is injected also helps answer the frequent question of how long does Dysport last. On average studies have shown that Dysport can last up to 4 weeks longer than Botox with no additional side effects.
How long does Dysport last you ask? While Dysport correction lasts an average of four months, repeated treatments can give you longer lasting results. For best results, it can be combined with other rejuvenation treatments. Dysport has been used safely on millions of patients worldwide over a decade with virtually no side effects. Dysport side effects if injected incorrectly could be hazardous as we have seen in the case of Botox. The most expensive Dysport cost is associated with improper use of an injection that can be putting your health at risk.
